Please limit your photography to 5 entries.  All entries should not be framed but mounted or surrounded by all white. 

 

Judging will be done on Friday at 3pm.  An orientation will take place at 3pm promptly.  Livestock judging will take place on Saturday morning between 9-10am.

Below are general judging guidelines, tips and information for the category judged.  This information will also be sent to a judge once selected.  This information has been revised for our fair.  There is a large binder of judging materials from other State Fairs in Alaska for your reference at the hall.  Sample judging sheets can be obtained also.   

Each of the 7 departments has a seperate judging sheet with points assigned to various characteristics of the exhibits.  All Senior and Junior entries for each department will be on a sheet when judging to help determine Department Champions (purple ribbons). 

It is difficult to predict the amount of entries in each department and therefore, last minute changes may be in order depending on where the greatest need lies.
